Folk-Musical and Folk-Cultural Learning Among Bluegrass Banjo Players

This lengthy document was my doctoral dissertation for the Folklore Institute/Department of Folklore, Indiana University.  I completed this work by October, 1979 under the guidance of the professors on my dissertation committee:
Warren Roberts; John McDowell; Henry Glassie; Jeffrey Huntsman, andd W. Edson Richmond.
Like most academic dissertations, this work contains a certain amount of scholarly jargon appropriate to works of folklore scholarship in the late 1970s.  (Readers, beware!)
